Paul Sadler about: „Ad Infinitum“ Perhaps my favourite song from the album, this track was written by electric harpist and long-time collaborator Nerissa Schwarz. I love the unusual chord sequences underlying the verses in particular, and I feel I have created some fairly haunting melodies that really weave themselves in and out of the harmony in constantly surprising ways. Perhaps more concise than the other three tracks, I feel this is one that really makes full use of every second of its runtime. This is perhaps the most overtly melancholic track of the four, which is something I have tried to reflect in the rather pessimistic lyrical content. Indeed, it’s perhaps the only song in which I haven’t really made any effort to find a positive stance within the lyrics or leave the listener with a sense of hope. I suppose it can’t be fun and games all the time…
